Honey Charters/Capt. Cook’s Books and Gifts is a family operated Alaskan business, offering personalized sightseeing, drop off and pick up for kayakers, campers and hunters and support work for local entities in Prince William Sound since 1988.  We have three customized vessels that are all enclosed, heated and beachable, the largest holding 30 passengers.  Our commitment to our customers is excellent service and a team of good employees helps us deliver exceptional service.

Current Job openings:
Reservation Agent/Gift Shop Clerk 

Duties include answering phone, booking charters (scheduling of three vessels) and handling walk in traffic. Other duties include light bookkeeping, selling merchandise in gift shop, inventory tracking and buying, and selling parking and kayak launch permits. This position keeps the office workplace and gift shop clean.

• Be self-directed with lots of enthusiasm and energy
• Neat and clean appearance
• Possess strong telephone and in-person communication skills
• Attention to detail required
• Capable of handling diverse daily routine

Deckhand  (Participation in pre-employment & random drug testing required and must be 18 years old.)

Candidates must be 18 years of age.  Our work season is approximately May 1st through September 30, 2010.  Some allowances are made for those who have to comply with college schedules.

Crew housing is available in Whittier, Alaska for a nominal fee.
